She worked with my fiancé Brando to design the ring from start to finish and helped him make his dream ring a reality. Because my birthstone is an emerald and Brando’s is a sapphire, she included a blue-green sapphire so the ring would represent us both. The design is a modern take on a Moi et Toi ring first introduced in the 18th century when Napoleon Bonaparte proposed to his bride-to-be Josephine.
